The Missouri Association for Property and Evidence (MAPE) consists of individuals within the property and evidence field who have come together for one likeminded goal: to promote professionalism and integrity within property and evidence through research, education, and information sharing.
The journey began in our hearts and minds well before the first meeting took place in 2017. In 2012, Greene County started hosting meetings for individuals involved in the Evidence Industry within the surrounding area. There was a roundtable discussion about packaging, lab expectations, and other items that were impacting all evidence rooms. An International Association of Property and Evidence (IAPE) training class in Greene County brought in new people from around the state and ideas of a Missouri Property and Evidence Association became a goal.
By 2019, Volunteers filled the Founding Board positions and Missouri Association for Property and Evidence (MAPE) was accepted as the name for the association. Since that time, there have been countless phone calls, meetings, and emails to finalize decisions and finish paperwork to have our association recognized as a 501c3 non-profit organization. We want to thank the founding board member's agencies for their generosity and support and also Shawn Henderson from Evidence Management Institute who was monumental in funding and organizing our association.
